Random fact about my online life: I am much more active on Twitter than on Facebook. Much more so ever since I got my Blackberry last August. I think it's because the people and posts on Twitter are much more sensible, thought-provoking and witty compared to those on that other social network giant (or maybe it's because I'm picky with the people I follow?).
I don't exactly know who he is, but according to his profile, his account was created (or at least, he started tweeting) a few hours prior to our exchange of tweets. This time, it was him who randomly responded (I made my profile open to the public a couple days ago).
Intrigued, I checked out his profile. There were less than 10 tweets and aside from his responses to me, there were a couple stand-alones related to the issue that we "debated" about. I decided to respond to one.
Perhaps another point to deliver is that Twitter makes it easier to connect and share insights with the famous, the influential and even the random. Which is exactly what happened last night.
THE FAMOUS
Ala Paredes is the daughter of famous Filipino musician Jim Paredes (of Apo Hiking Society). She's famous in her own right as a former commercial model and VJ and now as a writer and artist. She's cool.
And last night, I got lucky enough to receive a mention in a random-follower-randomly-responds-to-tweet-type of situation.
Yes, I did some sort of self-promotion. Because I'm thick-faced like that. :))
THE INFLUENTIAL
Robbie Bautista is a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and the blogger behind thecreativedork.com, which was recognized as one of the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2010 by InfluentialBlogger.net. He's cool.
And like Ala above, he responded to one of my tweets (fanatic lang?). Haha!
Okay, random response is random. But still awesome. :)
THE RANDOM
And then there's this guy.
I don't exactly know who he is, but according to his profile, his account was created (or at least, he started tweeting) a few hours prior to our exchange of tweets. This time, it was him who randomly responded (I made my profile open to the public a couple days ago).
Like a mushroom out of nowhere! (I refuse to use the word ninja.)
Intrigued, I checked out his profile. There were less than 10 tweets and aside from his responses to me, there were a couple stand-alones related to the issue that we "debated" about. I decided to respond to one.
